Maintaining the brand’s best-in-class credentials, Trinnov Audio has announced a major software update for the Altitude16 and Altitude32 home cinema and AV processors.
Featuring a redesigned UI and Trinnov’s very latest updated implementations of surround sound platforms: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D, this latest initiative is constructed to bring a renewed and more advanced experience to all Altitude owners.
Delivered as a free software update, the refresh preserves all prior Trinnov Altitude features and functionality, including Trinnov Optimizer, WaveForming and Remapping, but also adds compelling new immersive audio capabilities.
Perhaps the most obvious and compelling additions are the completely redesigned UI, created to simplify daily operation, system configuration and importantly, more advanced calibration.
The update incorporates Trinnov’s latest implementations of immersive audio technologies, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D decoding. The update delivers support for new features, such as Dolby Surround up-mixing on wide channels.
The software update also brings structural enhancements to the Altitude platform, ensuring it is ready for future advancements and fulfilling the brand’s commitment to creating products that keep pace with evolving audio performance.
Commenting on the launch, Arnaud Laborie, CEO, Trinnov Audio, says:
“We have significantly updated the Trinnov Altitude experience, with new features, streamlined operation and a user-friendly interface that will improve the experience for professionals and consumers alike – and true to our commitment to long-term value, we are offering these watershed improvements as a free software upgrade. With this update, the entire Altitude line has been re-engineered for more, and if you’re an Altitude owner, it’s already yours.”
The software update will begin shipping on all newly produced Altitude16 and Altitude32 units starting before the end of 2025. The update will also be made available to existing installations later and into 2026, following controlled validation and staging.
Trinnov was keen to make the announcement well in advance of availability, as a courtesy to the brand’s integration partners and customers. Trinnov underlines that this is a significant update, so existing systems will require reconfiguration and recalibration, offering an excellent opportunity for installers to improve already high-performance systems.
Maintaining the pact between Trinnov and its dealers, this update can only be triggered by a licensed Trinnov dealer. Upgrading is necessary to benefit from future updates, but there is no urgency, as Trinnov states it will continue to fully support current software versions throughout the transition period.
Integrators are, of course, advised to keep the update timeline in mind when scheduling upcoming calibration and firmware updates for installed devices.
Trinnov has stated the company will host training and demonstrations of the new Altitude UI throughout CEDIA Expo in Denver this September 3–6.
As soon as arrangements are made in the UK for a similar opportunity, our Trinnov-focused teams will let dealers know, so stay tuned!
