Intelligent AV & Electrical is a small, family-run company of five full-time professionals. For this particular project, the brief was clear: the client did not want a traditional, dedicated home cinema. Instead, they envisioned a multi-functional, fun space incorporating a bar and pool table, with natural woods and many personal touches. The result is a beautifully balanced environment where technology and interior design work seamlessly together, creating a natural flow from one zone to another.
Performance, personalised
At the heart of the system is a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos configuration built around Paradigm loudspeakers and Anthem electronics. As Ian explains in the interview, the combination was chosen for its craftsmanship, sound quality and reliability. When paired together, Paradigm and Anthem deliver outstanding performance, offering the power and precision needed to energise a lively entertainment space while maintaining control and finesse.
The visual experience is equally impressive. A Screen Research DecorMask Screen enhances immersion when in use yet blends beautifully into the room when idle. The DecorMask Screen element was crucial to the design, ensuring the screen complements the interior rather than dominating it. The custom Maldives artwork reflects the client’s favourite holiday destination, reinforcing the personal nature of the space.
Content delivery is handled by Kaleidescape, providing uncompromised picture and sound quality alongside the convenience of advanced digital technology. It ensures the cinematic experience matches the ambition of the system without sacrificing ease of use.
Throughout the project, Pulse Cinemas provided as much support as required. From product expertise and system design guidance to attending site to assist with screen installation and calibration, acting as an extension of the installation team when needed.
