Access the Agility of Lithe Audio

Installing speaker systems in a variety of environments can be a challenge. Having a range of speakers specifically designed to address these challenges is a boon for integrators. That is exactly what the Lithe Audio family offers.

A multi-room music system is a fantastic concept to offer customers, of course, but it can require a complex backbone to achieve a strong standard of playback and control. Running cables back to a central rack is often impractical for a whole host of reasons—structural limitations, the type of building or home where the system is being installed, or objections from customers about excessive disruption to the property. Lithe Audio’s in-ceiling speakers provide the perfect solution.

Amit Ravat, Co-Founder and Director of Lithe Audio, explains, “These speakers are designed to integrate seamlessly with smart home systems via drivers for platforms like Control4, Nice/Elan, Loxone, and KNX. This ensures users enjoy a fully integrated audio experience without the hassle of complex wiring systems.”

Another common challenge for integrators is sourcing audio systems suitable for secondary spaces where high-performance systems are neither needed nor appropriate. Again, Lithe Audio has a solution. Amit says, “Not every room requires high-end integrated systems. Our standalone speaker solutions, like the Wi-Fi Multi-Room Ceiling Speakers, are ideal for bathrooms, children’s bedrooms, or the growing number of home offices where a simpler setup is required. These standalone systems deliver excellent performance while remaining cost-effective, giving clients more flexibility in their budgets and allowing them to allocate the right amount to each part of their requirements.”

Cutting down on cable runs is a real speciality of this brand, as further options are delivered by Lithe Audio’s PoE-powered ceiling speakers.

Amit explains, “In spaces where a Cat cable is available, but running additional speaker cables or a mains feed is not practical, our PoE-powered ceiling speakers offer a streamlined solution. Our flagship Pro Series has been created to be the ultimate integrator’s speaker, offering many options, including PoE++ modules. These provide premium audio playback while eliminating the need for extra wiring, cutting down on installation time and costs.”

The Pro Series offers built-in amplification, hardwired Ethernet, or wireless connectivity options, simplifying installation even further.

Exploring New Possibilities

The trend for outdoor audio in homes and commercial spaces, such as the hospitality sector, has been a major development in the industry in recent years. However, creating these experiences can be problematic, often requiring cables to be run through exterior walls or digging up an established garden to connect amplifiers to speakers. Lithe Audio’s IO1 outdoor speakers eliminate these complexities. Amit says, “These speakers require just a power source and stream audio directly, ensuring a straightforward setup. With six mounting options and customisable grilles, they’re as versatile as they are convenient, meaning commercial and domestic spaces can get a solution that suits their needs perfectly.”

Many integrators have also been keen to access the potentially lucrative work available in specific sectors, such as hotels and housing developer schemes.

Amit explains, “For housing developers and hoteliers, audio systems must meet specific requirements, including password protection, volume capping, individual speaker ID naming, and fast, efficient installation with minimal maintenance. Our Bluetooth speaker models are designed specifically with these needs in mind, making them a valuable addition to multi-unit developments and hospitality projects, enhancing the overall user experience.

"Right now, there is a project in London installing two pairs of our Bluetooth speakers in each apartment of a new development, offering occupants easy-to-access music systems they understand. The speakers also offer our ‘Lithe-link’ function, giving clients the ability to play multiple zones or single zones.”

Via the Lithe Audio website, the brand currently offers a dedicated application guide for hotels, explaining the requirements of these types of systems. Further guides for developer systems, garden rooms, and other use-case scenarios will be added in the coming months.

Home cinema is, of course, another key area, but this can mean different things for different customers. Amit says, “Dedicated cinema rooms aren’t always feasible for clients due to budget or space constraints, but there is no need for them to miss out on an enhanced way to enjoy their content. Lithe Audio’s Cinema Series provides a scalable solution, allowing integrators to create high-quality audio systems tailored to various spaces. Whether it’s a simple 2.0 garden TV setup, a 5.1 ceiling system in an apartment, or a 5.1.2 surface-mount setup in an open-plan living room, these systems deliver immersive sound without extensive cabling or the cost of dedicated spaces. The customer gets a performance audio system in their existing living spaces, fuss-free and ready to connect to content delivery systems they are already familiar with.”
